Araluen Retirement Village

I became involved with Araluen in August 2020 after taking one of their residences to market for a client of mine. At the time, the village was suffering from slow sales and a long term price slump. There were 15 units being actively marketed, and some had been on the market for over 3 years.
I focused my marketing on the community aspects of the village, which had been underrepresented previously, and targeted advertising towards our key demographic.
In the 6 months following my becoming the preferred agent at Araluen, I had sold all of the lingering properties as well as several new ones that came on, and have now elevated the price of a typical 2 bedroom unit from less than $300,000 to around $550,000 with values continuing to rise. Furthermore, there is now an active waiting list of buyers rather than a surplus of properties on the market. To this day, I continue to work with the community at Araluen to drive further interest and engagement with the village.
In 2021, this work resulted in me being named as a finalist for the Real Estate Institute of the ACT's Property Marketer of the Year Award.
